Dan Kelly, President/CEO, Director and Founder since May 2004. Prior to this, Dan held several senior management positions with two Chartered Banks and a Consumer Credit Finance Company. In 1985, he registered as a Mortgage Broker and has operated Kelly Mortgage Services since that time. Throughout Dan’s extensive career, he has gained valuable experience in origination of underwriting, approving mortgages, and the collection of sub-prime accounts.

Don Paterson, Treasurer, CFO, Director and Co-Founder since May 2004. Don has been self-employed as a Chartered Accountant since 1982. In addition to the diversified responsibilities of managing an accounting firm, he has been involved in investor financings including retirement homes, food service limited partnerships, oil and gas partnerships and real estate syndications. He also acquired his Mortgage Broker license in 2006 and is past Director of the Ottawa Senators.                  

Monique Terriah, VP of Operations, joined the company in May 2010 after 20 years with CitiFinancial Canada Inc. as Branch Manager & Business Development Manager. Monique subsequently obtained her Mortgage Agent license and spent 2 years with Dominion Lending Center.  Monique’s background in consumer lending and business development makes her an invaluable asset to the WMIC team.

Michele Potts, Investment Administrator and Accountant, has over 20 years experience as an Accountant and Mortgage Administrator. Michele administers all aspects of our shareholder register and provides controllership to our mortgage portfolio.

Allison Hughes, Administrator & Fulfillment Specialist, joined the team in May 2011 to assist with managing all administrative aspects of the mortgage portfolio. Allison has several years experience supporting sales and business development, including four years as Office Administrator for a mortgage brokerage, She obtained her Mortgage Agent license in 2012.

laurette vincenT, Fulfillment Specialist,  joined WMIC in Sept 2012 after 10 years with ING Direct, most recently as a Mortgage Fulfillment Analyst. Laurette’s extensive experience with fulfillment, along with her ability for attention to detail makes her a great fit to our team.

Marc Moeys, VP of Business Development, a registered Mortgage Broker since 1994, was Business Development Manager for a MIC administrator for 11 years prior to joining WMIC. Marc was known for his deal making ability and the relationships he nurtured in the mortgage broker community. He is looking forward to returning to the business development world with WMIC and meeting his old friends and associates. 

Keena Brash, Senior Underwriter, joined WMIC in February 2013. Keena has been underwriting mortgages for the past 12 years for a mortgage investment corporation in Eastern Ontario where she gained valuable experience in the alternative mortgage market. Her previous employment at Royal Bank enabled her to understand the many facets of a financial institution.
